icp_access allow allowed_hosts
icp_access deny all
6. Find the following line:

Uncomment this line and replace webmaster with the email ad-
dress of the Squid adminstrator.
7. Save the squid.conf file.
8. You can now start squid by invoking the squid start command
in /etc/rc.d/init.d/:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/squid start
If this is the first time you’ve run Squid, itwill createthe swap direc-
tories it needs upon startup.
Squid should now be running on port 3128 of your web server. You can
now set up Netscape (from any machine you chose to allow access to
Squid) to use your machine as its proxy server. Some people configure
their routers to forward any requests on port 80 to redirectthrough Squid;
this saves them from having to set up the proxy on all the machines on
their network.
