Environment and System Requirements
PowerPath 4.5.x for Linux has been tested and qualified for use on
third-party arrays with the HBA drivers shown in Table 1-5.
Note: If HBA drivers other than the QLogic qla2300 driver are used for
StorageWorks EVA, EMA, or MA devices, expect unnecessary reassignments
at times (for example, at boot time). Consequently, PowerPath cannot
guarantee that the current owner remains the same after a reboot.
Unnecessary reassignments can destroy non-persistent snaps on HSG80
based arrays (MA8000, EMA12000, and EMA16000).
