SpamAssassin provides you with a way to reduce if not completely
eliminate
Unsolicited Comm ercial Email (SPAM) from your incoming email. It can
be invoked by a MDA such as sendmail or postfix, or can be called from
a procmail script, .forward file, etc. It uses a genetic-algorithm
evolved scoring system to identify messages which look spammy, then
adds headers to the message so they can be filtered by the user's m ail
reading software. This distribution includes the spamd/spam c com ponents
which create a server that considerably speeds processing of m ail.
To enable spamassassin, if you are receiving mail locally, simply add
this line to your ~/.procmailrc:
INCLUDERC=/etc/mail/spamassassin/spamassassin-default.rc
To filter spam for all users, add that line to /etc/procmailrc
(creating if necessary).

Group: System Environm ent/Daem ons
Summary: The Squid proxy caching server.
Description:
Squid is a high-performance proxy caching server for Web clients,
supporting FTP, gopher, and HTTP data objects. Unlike traditional
caching software, Squid handles all requests in a single,
non-blocking, I/O-driven process. Squid keeps meta data and especially
hot objects cached in RAM, caches DNS lookups, supports non-blocking
DNS lookups, and implem ents negative caching of failed requests.
Squid consists of a main server program squid, a Domain Name System
lookup program (dnsserver), a program for retrieving FTP data
(ftpget), and som e management and client tools.
