The OpenACS (http://www.openacs.org) project is the community-driven development of the previ-

ous generation Web Application Framework architecture written in the TCL programming language.

Many of the design concepts that appear in Red Hat WAF had precursors in the ACS TCL and Ope-

nACS world. In particular:

ers the basic object model that was the ancestor of the WAF object model.

The Java programming language provides extensive support for globalization:

• The java.util.Locale class is Sun’s representation of a Locale, and can be found at

maintain and retrieve externalized localized resources. It can be found at
